Your Instructor, Nate
Nate is a U.S. Army veteran and a working North Carolina firefighter and EMT, certified since 2016. He's run cardiac arrest calls, used CPR to bring someone back, and handled the bleeding, breaks, and trauma that first aid actually deals with, not from a textbook, but on real calls.
You'll practice with someone who has used these skills when it counted, and who won't let you leave until you've got them.

Common First Aid Questions
How is this different from the CPR/AED class?
This one adds first aid. You still learn CPR and AED use, then go further into bleeding control, splinting, stroke, seizures, and more. If you only need cardiac skills, the CPR/AED class is shorter and cheaper.
Do I get certified the same day?
Yes. Once you pass the skills check, your AHA Heartsaver First Aid CPR/AED e-card is emailed to you.
How long is my card good for?
Two years, the standard for American Heart Association Heartsaver cards.
Can I bring my spouse or a friend?
Yes. The private class covers up to three people, so you can bring one or two others and split the session.
