On a cardiac arrest call, EMS monitors compressions in real time. When they're deep and fast enough to keep blood flowing, they're called effective compressions. That's the standard every class is taught to.

Classes are held at the New Hill community center, or he comes to your home or business anywhere in the area. New Hill sits right between Apex, Holly Springs, and Fuquay-Varina, so most of the Triangle is a short drive.
At the New Hill community center, or he comes to your home or business. An open group class lets you sign up for a set time at $60 per person. A private class is $85 per person for a group of one to three you bring yourself, so you pick who's in the room.
Every class is in person and hands-on. You practice on a manikin and an AED trainer while the instructor watches and corrects your technique, so you leave able to actually do it, not just recognize it.
You earn an American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver CPR/AED e-card, sent after you pass the hands-on skills check. AHA cards are good for two years, so you'll be due to renew two years from your class date.
