Your Instructor, Nate

Nate is a U.S. Army veteran and a working North Carolina firefighter and EMT, certified since 2016. He's run cardiac arrest calls and used CPR to bring someone back, and he's been on the call where a bystander froze because no one had ever taught them what to do. That's why he teaches, and why every class is hands-on.

You'll practice with someone who has used these skills when a life was on the line, and who won't let you leave until your compressions are right.

Common CPR Training Questions

Do I get certified the same day?

Yes. As soon as you pass the hands-on skills check at the end of class, your AHA Heartsaver CPR/AED e-card is issued to you by email.

How long is my card good for?

Two years. That's the standard for American Heart Association Heartsaver cards, so you'll be due to renew two years from your class date.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothes you can move in. You'll be kneeling on the floor to do compressions, so skip anything restrictive.

Can you train my whole team?

Yes. The on-site option brings the class to your workplace for staff, gyms, schools, and childcare centers. Message Nate with your group size for scheduling.
